Reforged blades
- The 2-handed sword has been reforged: a long slender blade with a fuller and a long point, a blunt ricasso with two parrying hooks, a wide guard sweeping towards the point with a ring on each side, a long leather-wrapped grip for both hands and a heavy pear-shaped pommel. It is still carried on the shoulder and swung with both hands.
- The dagger is now a proper dagger: short and broad, tapering straight to its point, with a small knobbed guard, a wrapped grip and a wheel pommel. In a fight it is no longer swung overhead but drawn back to the hip and thrust at the foe.
- New icons for both: the 2-handed sword now crosses the whole slot with its ringed guard, and the dagger is short and stout, so neither is mistaken for another sword at a glance.
- The short sword and the long sword are told apart at a glance too. The short sword has a broad leaf-shaped blade, a short block guard and a round pommel; the long sword has a long slim blade with a fuller, a wide guard turning down at the ends, a grip long enough for a second hand and a kite-shaped pommel. Their icons and the swords in hand both changed.
- The scimitar has been reforged too: a single-edged blade curving back from the hilt and widening towards its clipped point, a bright edge along the outer curve, a small S-shaped guard and a capped pommel. In a fight it is raised high and drawn down across the body in a slicing cut.
