Northwatch and the Kingsway
A region of the Saltmarch · Foes from level 18 to 25
The Kingsway runs north from Saltcrown over the Whinmoor to Northwatch, House Marlowe's fortress on the head above the strait, and on down the Neck to the border post and Aldmere beyond.
Soldiers keep the fortress and its archery butts, bandits keep the road interesting, and the village of Coldhythe on Gloam Bay cures the herring that feeds them all.
Villages
- Coldhythe
A herring village on the south shore of Gloam Bay. The catch is cured here and sent north to Northwatch.
Landmarks
- Whin Beacon
- Northwatch
House Marlowe's fortress on the head at the end of the Kingsway. The garrison watches the strait and the weather, and finds the weather the harder of the two.
- Border Post
The post on the Neck, the one road to Aldmere. The gate stands open now, and the guards guard it with exactly the same seriousness.
